Do you like Dagwood Sandwiches?
if you want to see him...
I love it!!!xxx

I just took this pic of Charlie. His fur has grown back over his bald patch (it was just an allergy after all). He’s home a lot more often these days with the awful weather we’ve been having. Yesterday morning, I let him out as usual; but he rushed straight back in again as the heavens opened and a deluge of rain came down.
Life has suddenly become very busy. Last week, I was snowed under checking subject reports. I had to read 13-14 written reports for each pupil in my tutor group of 32 children, checking for spelling, typing and grammatical errors. It took hours and hours and I couldn’t get it all done in school time. When they’ve been corrected, I’ll have to collate them and write a ‘form tutor’s report’. These will have to be done by Friday but I should be able to get them finished in school.
My visit to the doctor’s last Tuesday has led to a referral to the consultant at the end of July. I’ll be seeing him privately. In the meantime, I’m back weight-watching as I want to get myself as fit as possible for surgery. Hopefully, I’ll be able to postpone having it for a year.
We’ve spent a hectic weekend looking after some Spanish visitors, which left me very little time for writing. I wasn’t able to reach my interim goal of 70K. I’ll try and get there by next week. Today we had after school training, but the rest of the week looks like it's going to be clear and I should be able to get down to it.
I watched the Concert for Diana on Sunday night while checking reports. The gig was a celebration of her life, almost ten years after her death, on what would have been her 46th birthday. I thought Princes William and Harry did an excellent job with the organisation. Did you watch the concert in your part of the world?
My son is finally on the way to finding work. Yey! There’s been NOTHING advertised remotely to do with his degree (Computer Animation). Since getting home from travelling, he’s been working on his portfolio, but he couldn’t find anyone prepared to give him work experience. Now, he’s been accepted on an Advanced Apprenticeship and is hoping to become a qualified electrician. He’s found a company that may be interested in taking him on. He’s sent them his CV. Keep your fingers crossed he’ll get an interview and they’ll offer him a placement!

Hi Siobhan, Charlie is such a spoiled little cat. I laugh when I see the positions our cat lays in and I see Charlie doing the same with his little paws and looking at you like your're disturbing him from his sleep. haha. I've been busy with visitors too this past week! Gosh, its a lot of work to me to have guests at your house. Good job to your son on wanting to further educate himself and get an apprenticechip! Too bad he doesnt live in CA, he could find work at Disney animation or Universal Studios or even Pixar. They are always looking for new graduates who have the motivation & young kids like your son especially have lots of new ideas and anxious to do a good job. Anyway,I hope you get your tutors report for all your kids done! That sounds like a lot of work and I can imagine the time. Take care of yourself always!
