I don’t know when I last felt so tired. Monday was a full day with a couple of difficult classes. Then last night I had a parents’ consultation evening and was at school from my usual arrival time of 8 a.m. until gone 7 p.m. I found it difficult to sleep as I was all hyped up. Then, this afternoon I had one of my difficult classes again and I handled them all wrong. I guess it was because I was tired. So I’m feeling a bit of a dead loss now. Just thought I would share it with you all. I'll be having an early night tonight with Charlie curled up on my toes...
Teaching is a very admirable job and people who teach others make a difference in the world. You are contributing to teaching these kids languages that make them more disciplined, educated and , successful when they are grown. It is impressive when a person can speak different languages that they are not born into. There are days like this when I'm sure the students just wear you out! I'm sure they talk, don't listen, dont do their assignments, etc. Think of it this way, there are people out there who come home tired everyday but work at a job where they are not making a difference in someones life. You have one of the more respectable jobs, even I'm sure students dont make you feel that way sometimes.
I know you're reading this thinking "what is she rambling about?"
Sorry my dear, I hope you get what I'm trying to say. In any case, I would be exhausted myself being at school that long for parent meetings. I think you are especially tired because your body is technically still recovering. Take it easy (breathe slowly expanding your diaphragm, it works for stress) and have a happy rest of the week. I better stop typing now...
