This is a photo of the Clematis blooming in our front garden. We’ve had the most amazing weather here in Blighty, although it’s reverted to norm today with cold winds and showers. However, the end of last week was hot and sunny. It makes a nice change. Hopefully, we’re in for a real summer this year.
I heard from the hospital last Thursday and my appointment is for Friday 26th May. (Keep fingers, toes, etc. crossed and prayers please!)
We’re heading up north the next day to pick up Paul from college. We thought we’d have a bit of a break and so we’ve booked ourselves a couple of nights’ stay in
Work has been even more busy than usual with last minute exam revision tasks and oodles of marking. I spent five hours on Sunday checking my tutor group’s reports. There are thirty-two children in the class and I had to check thirteen reports each from their subject teachers monitoring things like typing errors, grammar mistakes, etc. A VERY TEDIOUS JOB. Even so, I MADE myself sit down and do some work on the WIP and I’m glad I did because I was able to iron out some point of view issues that had been niggling at me. Having not had time to do much on the book lately has meant that I’ve come back to it with fresh eyes and can see where I’ll be able to improve it. (I hope!) AND it was fun. (More fun than reports!)
Hope you’re all having a great week and that you’re keeping well. Good health is so important.
I have 3 different clematis growing on trellises at either end of my front porch. One is HUGE and creates a good privacy screen to the house next door...it's in bloom right now with almost mauve blossoms. The other two are dwarf clematis...one blooms first, a very pale lavender...when they die off, the white one blooms. It'll be a couple more years before it's big enough to creat a privacy screen between us and the OTHER neighbors -- but luckily we get along great with ALL of them around us. Please keep me/us posted as to how things go with your health issues...you're in my prayers. My last uterine biopsy came back negative, thank the good Lord. One more to go in July and then I hope I'm "home free". Good health IS a blessing, isn't it? I just found out someone we were good friends with years ago and lost contact with as time went on is terminal with uterine cancer that's metastasized EVERYWHERE...life is too short. We must smell the roses each and every day.
